What's new?

Well, on Tuesday, Eddie had the first bit of his SWAT tryouts. He did the physical fitness and shooting, and tomorrow he has the written Pych. eval. He is just so relieved to have those pull ups done and over with!!!!!!!!!! Timothy had his first dance lesson tuesday night. Yes, our son dances, and yes we make fun of him. Just joking. But not really. Dancing is something Timothy has wanted to do for quite some time, I think since he was 3 and half. Well, thanks to my mom sharing her addiction to "So You Think You Can Dance" this summer, Timothy has specified that he wants to dance "like those guys" which is a mix of Ball Room, Jazz, Hip Hop and Contemporary. I was a little nervous taking Timothy in there, especially all by myself. We all know how distractable and energetic Timothy is. I was not sure that he would focus on the instructor and be able to stick with it for the full hour. They normally take 9 yr. olds as the youngest age. I was pleasantly surprised. I sat in shock and laughing as Timothy very quickly learned the "Night Club Two Step". I could not believe how fast he picked it up, and how determined he was. He was so focused. He danced with two 9 yr. old girls and then teens ranging from 15-17. The cutest thing was when they were learning the "Merengue". Timothy had to strectch his arm up as high as he could, and his partners stretch their arms as far down behind their backs as they could so that Timothy could twirl them. He had so much fun, and from the look on his face....the kid was in his element! So next week he will be learning the Waltz, and Swing. This ought to be good!!!!!!
I will be speaking at Timothy's school next friday and the friday after, to the Junior High and High School girls about Eating Disorders. This will be a pretty big deal, and their parents are encouraged to come. I will be speaking for an hour and a half both times. I'm really looking forward to this, and am very nervous at the same time. I cannot speak in even a small group without my cheeks turning fire engine red. This is just a natural reaction for some reason, even if I feel totally comfortable speaking. SO, pray for that please. And for Eddie's SWAT stuff. He isn't expecting to make the team this year, but he's just hoping his name gets on the list.
Ok, my wonderful husband has prepared a delicious Valentines dinner that is now ready, so....

Go Timothy! That's so awesome that your little guy can dance. Watch out little ladies, lil' Tanzosh is on the loose!
Congrats on your speaking engagement too Amberly. Good for you...so proud of you. Will be praying about the SWAT stuff too, you never know. Keep us informed.

Love you,

Timothy comes from a long line of dancers!! It's only natural that it would be in his blood. His great-grandparents, Grammy and Pop could cut quite a rug on the dance floor and did so often at all the events that they attended. Eddie's Dad was a good dancer and won a few dance contests in his day and then there's Timmy's name - Tanzosh (dancer in Hungarian!!) There's a long line of dancers in his Hunky background! Hope you guys do well - both in the speaking engagement (I'm sure you will) and Eddie will do well in his endeavors to be on the SWAT team. Love you all - go on our web site and see all the new baby goats - I'm sure the little goat herder will like to see them. www.countrybumpkinsfarm.com Love, Mom XXXXXOOOOOXXXXXX
