Last week Eddie rammed his patrol car into fleeing shooting suspect to prevent him from getting away. I'm posting the article. Although Eddie's name is not mentioned, it was him. I'm so proud of him for what he does. Enjoy!
A man suspected of shooting up a Midtown home Tuesday night refused to stop his vehicle for police and had to be rammed off the road, according to Anchorage police.
No one was injured in the 8:30 p.m. shooting on the 2200 block of D Street, police Lt. Paul Honeman said. Police suspect the gunfire was drug related, Honeman said.
Police planned to charge Dwayne Anthony Mathews, 45, with eluding and resisting arrest in connection with the chase that ended near Moss Court and Early View Drive in East Anchorage, he said.
Police were working Tuesday night to get a search warrant for Mathews' vehicle, which matched a suspect vehicle description at the shooting scene, a red sedan, Honeman said. Additional charges could result, he said.
